COVID-19 Vaccinations Available for those 65 years of age and older

PSHD Encourages Eligible Residents to Get Vaccinated

The Plainville Southington Health District (PSHD) encourages all eligible residents to get vaccinated for COVID-19.  Those 65 years of age and older, healthcare professionals, long term care facility residents, and medical first responders are all qualified at this time.

“Due to limited vaccine supply, Connecticut has prioritized vaccination tier groups in an effort to get those high-risk groups vaccinated,” said Shane Lockwood, PSHD Director of Health.  “As the state continues to open more tier groups, more vaccination sites are being stood up.”

There are several ways to register for vaccination.

The Plainville Southington Health District (PSHD) urges residents, businesses, and employees to continue to take precautions and to abide by the social distancing measures that are in place.

  1. Wear face mask properly, covering both your nose and mouth
  2. Limit social gatherings
  3. Avoid large crowds
  4. Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
