Covid-19 – Face Masks Requirement Information

An important message concerning the CORONVIRUS from First Selectman Edward Bailey and Emergency Management Director, Robert Poturnicki. Governor Lamont has issued Executive Order 7BB which requires everyone to use face masks in public settings to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Spring DEA Prescription Drug Take Back Day

This Spring’s DEA Prescription Drug Take Back Day that was scheduled for April 25th has been postponed. Durham Middlefield Local Wellness Coalition and Durham Middlefield Youth & Family Services wants to encourage the residents of Durham and Middlefield to take this time to dispose of medications safely and properly at home. Unused and expired medications should be mixed with an unpalatable substance such as dirt, cat litter or used coffee grounds. SPRING BRUSH PICKUP

The Public Works Department will be starting April 6th.  Only one pass will be made on each street, so please have all brush at curbside before the start date to insure pickup.  Since this service is provided to residents throughout town, we must limit each household to one truckload of brush. Important message from Edward P Bailey, First Selectman In accordance with orders from our Director of Health, all activities at Middlefield’s parks are limited to walking, use of the walking paths, and dog run at the Dog Park.  Maintain SOCIAL DISTANCING at all times.  Please be safe and stay healthy.  The Middlefield Park and Recreation Commission issued an Emergency Rule effective immediately concerning the closure of the basketball courts, skate park, the baseball fields, the soccer fields, and the playground.  TAKE NOTICE: This Emergency Rule subjects violators to a $90 fine for violations.
