Temporary Pistol Permit

Apply

To receive a temporary pistol permit, you must apply in the town in which you reside.  If you would like to apply, please email your request to police@middlefieldct.org, or call 860.349.7114, and a packet will be sent out to you.  You MUST request a packet BEFORE getting fingerprinted.  Fingerprints are obtained only through the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) in Middletown.  They are scheduling appointments via Eventbrite – click  HERE.

New 5-Year Pistol Permit

As of May 26, 2020, DESPP is scheduling appointments ONLY FOR NEW pistol permit applicants who presently have a temporary pistol permit.  The appointments are made on Tuesdays and Thursdays via Eventbrite.  Please print out an appointment confirmation from the website to produce to the State Trooper upon arrival.
