Temporary Pistol Permit

Apply

To receive a temporary pistol permit, you must apply in the town in which you reside.  If you would like to apply, please email your request to police@middlefieldct.org, or call 860.349.7114 ext. 0, and a packet will be sent out to you. You MUST request a packet BEFORE getting fingerprinted.  Fingerprints are obtained through the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP), 1111 Country Club Road, Middletown.  The appointments are made via Eventbrite and only the $15 fee applies. Go to Fingerprint Appointments, then select, “All non-DPH fingerprint appointments click HERE.”

New 5-Year Pistol Permit

As of May 26, 2020, DESPP is scheduling appointments ONLY FOR NEW pistol permit applicants who presently have a temporary pistol permit.

The appointments are made via Eventbrite. :

      1.  A printout of the appointment confirmation from the website, to produce to the State Trooper upon arrival, and,
