The Town Zoning Board of Appeals of Middlefield, Connecticut will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 19, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Middlefield Community Center, 405 Main Street, Middlefield, CT, on the following applications:


Applicant/Owners:      James and Rita Steele

Property Location:      91 Main Street, Tax Assessor’s Map #9, Lot #114

Proposed Activity:      Request for a 12’ side yard variance from section 04.02.01.of the Middlefield Zoning Regulations for the installation of a garden shed.


Applicant/Owner:       Eugene Gargiulo

Property Location:      159 Baileyville Road, Tax Assessor’s Map #10/10.5, Lot #10

Proposed Activity:      Request for a variance from section 10.02B.10 of the Middlefield Zoning Regulations to allow for an increase in the square footage,  greater than the regulations allow, for the construction of an upper floor on the garage for bedrooms.


At these hearings interested persons may appear and be heard and written communications will be received.  Copies of these applications are on file in the Office of the Town Clerk, Middlefield Administration Building, for public inspection.
