Searching for Women Serving in WWII – apply by 4/22/2018 for recognition

This year marks the 100th Anniversary of Women in the Military.  This coming June, exact date to be determined, with the cooperation of all the Veteran Organizations of Connecticut, will be honoring Connecticut women of all branches of the military, who served during WWII.  We are trying to get the word out to the public any way we can to locate these “women trailblazers.” The majority of these women are in their mid to late nineties and some are one hundred years old or more.  We need to honor these veterans while they are still with us.

The attachments,  Honoring Women in WWII – Letter, Application for Metal, Application for Posthumous Metal will hopefully explain what we are trying to accomplish.  Trying to get the word out has been extremely challenging so far.  Hopefully together, we can make it happen.
